Description
Tampico steel discs are a highly useful tool for finishing shaped pieces and achieving a particular semi-lustrous finish known as “tampico finish.” These discs are made with tampico, a plant fiber originating from Mexico, specifically using the “prime quality square-cut” type of tampico. Tampico is characterized by its extreme flexibility and softness, making it perfect for working on highly shaped pieces.
To enhance their durability and improve the adhesiveness of abrasive paste, tampico discs are often impregnated. There are different types of tampico discs and brushes available, including those with a small diameter hole “eyelet” for manual polishing machines, and those with stapling for automatic polishing machines.
These tampico steel discs and brushes are particularly suitable for internal processing (bottom and walls) of trays, pots, containers, and stainless steel sinks on automatic machines. If needed, special sizes for tampico steel discs and brushes can be requested to meet specific requirements for industrial processing.
