Description
Metal flanges are essential components for metal cleaning machines. They are made of steel and come in the form of circular plates with a central hole for the machine’s shaft and side holes for air circulation. Specifically, metal flanges are used to adapt disks with a larger hole than the machine’s shaft to the size of the shaft itself. With the help of flanges, it is possible to mount disks with metal clamps on shafts of smaller diameter than the disk’s hole, avoiding the need to reduce the hole size by installing reduction cardboard on the wheel.
Another advantage of metal flanges is their ability to cool the disks grouped in rolls through the holes present on the flange itself. This prevents the heat generated during metal cleaning from damaging the disk or the workpiece. Metal flanges are available in various sizes to accommodate the different needs of cleaning machines, allowing for greater precision and safety.
